What is it about pop music that just digs its way into our ears to stay forever in our brains? Whatever it is and whatever your opinions are about it, pop music will be here to stay.

Here are three of those type of songs that are currently bubbling around in my head…

1. Karmin – Brokenhearted

2. Kimbra – Cameo Lover (Sam Spirro & Golden Touch remix)

3. Butterfly Boucher – 5678!

What are the catchy songs you’re into right now?

This is a brilliant album, a collection of songs which resonate with our own lives. I love Butterfly’s strong sensual vocals, and amazing guitar and bass work. Four songs are co-written, 5678! and Table for One with Katie Herzig; The Weather with Dawson Wells; and Unashamed Desire with Missy Higgins. My faves are Warning Bell and Not Fooling Around. Butterfly has uploaded videos of all the songs from the album (performed live, mostly at home) onto Yt, and these are fun, whimsical, inspirational, dramatic and very moving. Fans who want it in physical format can buy it from jb-hifi (Au).
